Four US college students spent the summer of 2010 living on one dollar a day in Guatemala to raise awareness about extreme poverty. Not your typical summer vacation, they spent just 56 dollars each in eight weeks.
They did this because they believe that understanding the reality of poverty is the critical first step in addressing the problem
